Gmail update brings two-pane layout to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold smartphones
Google regularly improves its stock apps by bringing new features and improvements through new updates. At the moment, the company has started pushing a new update for the Gmail app, which brings a new change to the foldable devices i.e. Two pane view layout.
The Two pane view layout helps you to manage the display of apps that have 2 separate areas of content, such as list/details view. Now, Gmail brings Two-pane view layout support to enhance the multitasking experience on your foldable devices.
Gmail Two pane view feature is available for all Android foldable devices including Samsung. The Korean tech giant offers a bunch of foldable devices and you can check this new layout on the Fold series of Galaxy smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z FOld 3, and more.
In the Gmail app on your foldable smartphone, you can see a list of messages on the left, a search bar at the top left, and compose tools. Whereas when you open someone’s mail, you can see all the details of other messages in brief on the right side of your foldable smartphone.
In addition, there’s a long Material You bottom bar with labels covering the entire bottom width of your foldable. From the screenshots, we can see that the email is shown in a light container, while the rest of the page has a blue background.
Back in 2023, the search giant rolled out the Dual Pane View layout for Google Meet and now it is available for Google’s other app – Gmail. Aside from this, you can also see the Chat tab in the Gmail app.
