Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4/3 battery drain issue emerges on One UI 5.1

Samsung shipped the One UI 5.1 update to all flagship Galaxy devices in various parts of the world. Since the Galaxy S22 series users are demanding a fix patch, the battery drain issue emerges on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphones too.

Samsung One UI 5.1 issue like battery drain and low power efficiency were initially reported for the Galaxy S22 and S21 series, however, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Fold 3 users are facing similar difficulties, as multiple user-generated reports and complaints were gathered by PiunikaWeb.

Consumers report that the battery life of their Galaxy Z Fold smartphone got almost destroyed after installing the One UI 5.1 firmware. In addition, some users claimed that the update has broken the charging function or it’s getting discharged rapidly.

Apart from Reddit threads, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Fold 3 users are complaining about the battery draining problem on Samsung’s official community forum. This high amount of threads and reports indicate that the battery drain issue is widespread.

On the flip side, some Samsung consumers are reporting just the opposite. Their phone’s battery life got improved over the One UI 5.0 and the system software is delivering a better user experience.
