Breaking: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will support Jio True 5G in India
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra customers living in India can finally take a breath of relief as their phones will soon start supporting Jio True 5G to deliver faster internet performance.
The Korean company launched the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone with 5G compatibility in 2020. But the most famous network provider in India, Jio does not provide 5G support to the users.
Earlier the Jio service provider confirmed that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G is not documented to feature True 5G support in the country. The company said it was not able to release 5G-supported firmware updates due to application processor limitations.
However, this situation will not last long. Samsung will soon start rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in India to make the device Jio True 5G ready.
Although when the update is coming exactly is unknown at the moment. We expect that the support will go live through the One UI 5.1 update, which is yet to be delivered for Note 20 devices in India.
It’s worth mentioning that this was not the problem of Samsung’s manufacturing processes, the company has made it to support 5G and it does offer 5G connectivity in many other countries. Even in India, other major network providers, such as Airtel offer 5G network and speed.
Fortunately, Jio has also decided to provide a 5G connection to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra users in India. Since most people in the country use Jio SIM cards, it will be beneficial, many more customers can now take advantage of the fast internet services.
Galaxy S20 Ultra will support Jio True 5G?
Earlier Jio told that Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G will also not get Jio True 5G network in India. But since things are changed for the Note 20 Ultra, it seems like the more famous Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will also get the 5G connectivity support for Jio.
