One UI
One UI 5.1 is great, I hope One UI 6.0 would be excellent!
One UI 5.1 update is available for several Galaxy models and Samsung is continuously expanding the enhancements to more Galaxies. Ahead of the major Android 14 update, the One UI 5.1 feels like an appetizer, but I hope the One UI 6.0 would be excellent!
Battery widget arrived too late but brings a bit of satisfaction as part of cosmetic changes on the home screen. One UI 5 update brought a gradient appearance to system app icons, which should be further refined with the next major OS, and the themed icon feature needs work too.
The visual effects and system animations part got greatly enhanced, but Galaxy users now want something eye-catching. Overall, the One UI 5.1 update feels like a supplement to the original One UI 5 as it has improvements and some new features, that were showcased for One UI 5.
One UI 6 would be excellent
We already created our wishlist for One UI 6.0 features, which consists of some of the most demanded and necessary stuff. For the past few years, the company just brought improvements and software refinements that are necessary but the lack of innovation hurts.
The One UI 6.0 software should revolutionize the Color Palette and Themed Icons feature for user-centric personalization. For privacy and security, support for an in-built app lock is quite necessary and the multi-user profiles feature would be the cherry on the cake.
Samsung was the vendor which taught the Android world the lessons of innovations and creative features. Over the past few years, it has been noticed that the company is not taking any kind of risk to maintain its reputation, which is a great point but it’s helping rivals to grow further.
The same case in the software department. In the One UI 5 iteration, we’ve seen Samsung copying Apple’s text extraction feature, followed by the battery widgets. Apple will require years to rival Samsung in innovation, but it makes us cry seeing iOS features coming to One UI years after a wait.
So overall, One UI 5.1 features are great, but we hope, Samsung will do some home work on the One UI when it begins developing the Android 14 skin. What do you think, is there any feature in your wishlist for the One UI 6? Let us know through social media.
