Samsung’s March 2023 patch fixes Keyboard app access flaw

Samsung officially published the details of the March 2023 security patch details as well as updated the monthly software plan. The latest March 2023 security patch fixes several issues including one related to the Samsung Keyboard.

Back in November 2022, the improper authorization issue of Samsung Keyboard was reported. The issues occurred to Galaxy devices that are running on Android 13-based One UI 5.0.

Through improper authorization, Samsung Keyboard lets a physical attacker to access users’ text history on the lock screen. But now, the company removed the context menu on the lock screen via the latest security patch.

Now, Samsung users need not worry as the company has fixed the keyboard access issue with March 2023 security patch. We recommend users to install the update immediately if they have received the March update notification on their device for a better and bug-free experience.

Notably, March 2023 security update brings fixes for a bunch of common vulnerability exposures to enhance system security, stability, and performance. It fixes issues related to Calls, Samsung Keyboard, System UI, Galaxy Themes, Bluetooth, and more.
