Google Camera app’s version 8.8 update goes official on the Google Play Store. The new release comes with a Faster Night Sight feature for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones.

The company initially debuted the Faster Night Sight feature with the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro devices last year. Now, the Pixel 6 series is also getting the improved variant of Night Sight, with the latest Camera app version.

According to the info, the Android maker touts Night Sight photos that have “less motion blur since exposures can be half as long as before.” Google credits “updates to HDR+ with Bracketing and new ML techniques to reduce noise.”

Compared to the current time, the Faster Night Sight needs just half of the normal exposure time to produce beautiful low-light images that are sharper than before.

With the March 2023 Android Feature Drop, Google announced the arrival of this new Google Camera feature for the Pixel 6 series (6a excluded). Moreover, there are general improvements in camera stability and performance in certain conditions.
