Samsung Galaxy A52 5G starts getting March 2023 security update

Samsung starts rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy A52 5G smartphone users in Europe, which installs the March 2023 security patch. Earlier, the device received the major One UI 5.1 update, which brought a number of new features for the users.

Current update

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G users can identify the March 2023 security update via PDA build version A526BXXU2EWB5 (via GalaxyClub). The initial rollout has started in Germany, while users in other European markets may have also received the latest patch.

In addition to the 5G variant, the A52’s 4G model will soon start getting the latest security firmware. The company delivers new software updates to the A5x series monthly, however, the patch comes at the beginning of the third quarter, which is way too late.

US Availability

The Galaxy A52 5G is one of the best-selling Samsung phones worldwide. The US release date for March 2023 OTA is not confirmed, but we believe that the company may take it to the market before the end of this month along with network carriers such as Verizon and T-Mobile.

Recent update

On February 28, the South Korean tech giant started to deliver One UI 5.1 update (EWB1) to the Galaxy A52 5G in Europe. The update has further expanded to more markets and the company is continuously working to finish the distribution as soon as possible.

Forthcoming software

Google started working on the Android 14 operating system, which could go official in August 2023. Samsung, on the other hand, is committed to bringing the next major OS upgrade to the Galaxy A52 5G smartphone, and you can expect its release later this year.

How to update

Open your phone’s Settings, scroll down, and hit the Software update tab. Once done, you have to tap the Download and install button to allow your device to find new firmware on Samsung’s server. Further, follow the on-screen instructions, (tip – stay on a strong network connection).
