Google’s Samsung Messages rival adds new ‘Send photos faster’ feature
Google has recently renamed the Chat Features to RCS on Android’s Messages app and it’s now adding a new feature – Send photos faster. The newly added toggle description suggests that it will significantly reduce the image’s size to share with the second party.
According to the input, Google Messages appears to be testing a new feature, which ends the need to convert messages into MMS. The company has brought a new Messages feature – “Send photos faster” function, which reduces the picture resolution before sharing.
The Messages app’s RCS tool is now adding the ability to allow users to directly share low-sized images via SMS, rather than the conventional MMS. It’s going to benefit users who usually face issues like slow internet speed and unstable network connection.
Since the feature has not been widely rolled out, the new “Send photos faster” toggle can be spotted in Settings between “Bubbles” and “Hear outgoing and incoming message sounds.” Meanwhile, what will be the image maximum upload limit, Google has not yet revealed any information about it.

WhatsApp has released a fresh update for beta users on Android with version 2.24.21.26. This update introduces a new feature that gives users more control over how their contacts are synced across different devices on WhatsApp.
The latest update allows users to add, edit, or delete contacts from any device linked to their WhatsApp account, such as tablets or computers. It means that any changes made on one device will automatically sync to all other connected devices. It helps contact list up-to-date no matter where you are.
For those who want to keep personal and work contacts separate, there’s an option to disable syncing for specific accounts. This lets users prevent certain contacts from showing up in their WhatsApp to maintain privacy.

Users can still chat with their existing contacts as the app remains fully functional, even with contact syncing turned off. If someone switches to a new phone or reinstalls WhatsApp, their linked contacts will automatically be restored easily.
WhatsApp contact syncing feature was already available to iOS users, and now Android beta testers can enjoy the same benefit. As the update rolls out, more users will have the chance to try this privacy feature.
