New Samsung Pro Plus memory cards are faster

On April 11, Samsung unveiled upgrades to its PRO Plus memory cards with improved rear and write speed. This lineup of memory cards is designed for professional and enthusiastic photographers, videographers, and content creators.

The new Samsung PRO Plus microSD and full-size SD cards boast increased read and write speeds of up to 180 MB/s and 130 MB/s, a 12 percent and 8 percent increase, respectively, over their predecessors. For your info, the lineup consists of microSD and full-size SD cards in different storage.

Samsung’s PRO Plus microSD and SD cards are optimized for professional use and allow users to seamlessly capture 4K ultra-high definition (UHD) and Full HD (FHD) videos and photos. The cards also support a video speed class rating of V30, which enables you to quickly move large video files.

Available in capacities of up to 512GB, the PRO Plus memory cards provide plenty of storage for up to 207,159 4K UHD photos or 30 hours of 4K UHD video. With the additional USB 3.0 Card Reader, you can use Samsung memory cards on any device with a USB port.

Starting today, the new Samsung PRO Plus memory cards are available in the United States with a ten-year limited warranty. For more information regarding improved speeds (read and write speed), consumers can refer to the packaging.
