Samsung Galaxy A12 starts getting a surprising software update in the US, which makes it advanced with RCS 1.0 messaging features. Alongside the new firmware, Samsung has also included the January 2023 security patch in order to improve system security.

With RCS 1.0 feature, Samsung Galaxy A12 users will be able to send larger text messages. You can now create larger messages up to 8000 characters long. While texting on your preferred messaging app, you will see when your contact is typing in a conversation.

Read receipts is another addition that is a part of Advanced Messaging (RCS), allowing you to see when your message has been read. Additionally, the Large group chats feature lets you create group chats with up to 100 participants along with RCS’ high-quality media sharing.

Moreover, you can send messages over Wi-Fi, even when you don’t have a cellular connection. Also, it’s now possible to send larger attachments than ever before, and location sharing as you travel. To get them all, you need to install the latest software update on your smartphone, which bears build version – A125USQU5CWC2.

You can manually initiate installation by going to Home > Apps Drawer > Settings > About Device > Software updates. Under System updates, tap Restart & install to install the update. Your device will power off and back on and the installation process will begin.
