Earlier this week, Samsung started releasing the April 2023 security update for the Galaxy S21 FE, and now the company is rolling out the monthly patch for its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 FE.

The update is currently rolling out to the 4G variant of the Galaxy S20 FE in Brazil, while 5G users are still waiting. The same update will make its way to more markets in the future, but its availability is quite limited at the moment.

April 2023 update for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G smartphone arrives with One UI build version G780GXXS4EWC5 and an updated package size of 273.85 megabytes.

The latest firmware brings the April 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. While the update does not bring any new features, it may include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

You can install and download the firmware through your smartphone’s Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install. If you have received the update, then follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest update.

Unfortunately, Galaxy S20 FE users will not be able to receive major Android and One UI updates in the future. The devices, launched with Android 10 OS, were only eligible for three major software updates and the S20 FE grabbed them all in the form of Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13. However, users will get monthly security patches.
