Samsung Galaxy S22 May 2024 update US

Samsung is expanding the April 2023 firmware to the Galaxy S22 series in India, bringing camera and gallery improvements. This hefty 1.7GB update comes with PDA version numbers: S908EXXU4CWCE, S906EXXU4CWCE, and S901EXXU4CWCE for S22 Ultra, S22 Plus, and S22, respectively.

The changelog of Samsung Galaxy S22 series India update mentions “Camera and Gallery functions have improved.” However, there are not just improvements as the company has also included a handful of new features derived from the Galaxy S23 series.

As promised, the South Korean tech giant brought the Image Clipper feature to Galaxy S22 series users. Now, you can extract and copy/save objects from any video or image stored in the Samsung Gallery app. It’s an amazing addition, making it easier to create custom stickers with easy object extraction.

Since the changelog lacks update content, the Galaxy S23 series welcomed improvements in various camera aspects. The company has enhanced optical image stabilization, faster image capturing in Photo mode, bug fixes related to Night mode, and sharpness increment. [Galaxy S23 April OTA changelog]

Before India, the software update became available in the US, and a number of countries in Europe. The rollout is still underway and the company is gradually sharing it with more and more Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra users.
