Have looks at Motorola Razr ‘Lite’ that we wanted from Samsung

Motorola is about to introduce a cheap flip-style foldable smartphone alongside the Razr 2023. As there’s no sign of a “Lite” Galaxy Flip from Samsung, the Motorola Razr lineup could be making it possible this year.

Tipster Onleaks in collaboration with MySmartPrice shared design renders of the upcoming Motorola Razr Lite smartphone. It could be renamed before the launch, which it’s going to be a trimmed-down variant of the main one.

Motorola Razr ‘Lite’

Motorola Razr Lite design renders showcase a clamshell-style folding mechanism. Its foldable screen has a hole-punch cutout at the top center to bear the selfie camera. The images also show Razr Lite has thinner bezels around the display, delivering an immersive viewing experience.

When folded, the flip-style foldable phone could have a tiny display. As shown in the render, the cover screen of the Motorola Razr Lite appears to be a Smart Band, which could just show notification icons and time. It could be because of prioritizing the Motorola Razr (Plus), which has a huge cover display.

Next to the tiny cover display, the Razr Lite is equipped with a dual camera setup, with the design appearing to be copied by Samsung’s signature design language. Inside the rectangular camera frame, there’s an LED flash, which is a useful function for photography alongside usage as a torch.

Samsung Flip Lite

Last year, it was reported that the South Korean tech giant will release up to four foldable smartphones in 2023. As of now, we didn’t get any kind of evidence citing the existence of foldable phones more than the strategic Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip.

As Samsung focuses more on the Galaxy A lineup, the addition of a Flip model could be a big hit. Starting Moto, Chinese rivals would soon copy the strategy to bring cheap Flip phones to the market, which eventually harm Samsung’s business.

This August, the company is going to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 smartphones. The next Fold brings a droplet hinge, while there’s going to be a big cover display on the next Flip. In addition, the first foldable tablet could hit the market later this year.
