Samsung Galaxy S24 ‘solid rumors’ claim up to 16GB RAM, enhanced display
Samsung could bring the Galaxy S24 series in February 2024, while rumors have started to spread quite early this time. We already heard shocking changes that Samsung could apply in the Galaxy S24 lineup, while “solid rumors” now claim up to 16GB of RAM and an enhanced display.
According to tipster @Tech_Reve, Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus could come with 12GB RAM, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra could get a 16GB RAM variant. The tipster further stated that there will not be variation in RAM per storage options.
No RAM options
It means, all storage models of the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus could be paired with 12GB of RAM, while the same applies to the S24 Ultra with 16GB of RAM. It’s a big development that happening over two generations of halt, as the S20 Ultra and S21 Ultra had 16GB of RAM as an option.
Apart from RAM, the same source claimed that both non-Ultra Galaxy S24 models will use the same M11 display panel but with increased brightness and less power consumption. However, there’s no input regarding the display specs and technology for the Galaxy S24 Ultra flagship.
Recent leaks
Recently, TrendForce report revealed that the South Korean tech giant is working to fix power consumption and thermal issues of the Exynos 2400 processor. The company wants to ship some Galaxy S24 series models powered by a 10-core Exynos 2400 chipset.
In addition, it was reported that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will continue to use the 50MP GN3 camera sensor for the third time in a row. Meanwhile, the S24 Ultra could come with one less camera (variable folded telephoto) along with 200MP HP2.
