Back in December, Google announced new updates for Wear OS, which included the voice Assistant integration on adidas Running app. Today, the company published a new blog post, praising its Google Assistant, which made voice commands possible on adidas Running app.

adidas Running app has tens of millions of installs and users love to use it for their health and fitness routine. As part of enhancing the user experience while workout or running, adidas integrated Google Assistant into its Running app, which also benefits users having Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 or 5.

adidas Running app adds Assistant

Google revealed that adidas looked to Google Assistant and App Actions to enable hands-free control. It lets users control apps with their voice using built-in intents (BIIs) along with performing specific tasks by voice or act upon tasks such as starting a run or swim.

“We are excited by the possibility of what can be done by enabling voice based interactions and experiences for our users through App Actions,” said Director of Product Innovation for adidas Runtastic.

Wear OS

Samsung’s latest Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch4 lineups run the One UI Watch operating system, based on Wear OS. Ditching Tizen OS, the Korean tech giant decided to bring the widely available OS to its smartwatch portfolio so users have more benefits from Google and third-party devs.
