Samsung is rapidly gaining different kinds of certifications and hardware elements approved by international authorities on its next-gen foldables. In a recent development, the 3C certificate of Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 revealed that Samsung is again bringing 25W charging support.

In the recent past, Chinese phone makers introduced smartphones that support over 200W fast charging. Even in the foldable segment, Samsung rivals have brought up to 100W wired charging to foldable smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 shouldn’t be capped at 25W charging!

At present, 25W charging support isn’t fast, which Samsung also determines for a long. However, it appears that the company’s most expensive phone of 2023 may be capped at 25W charging support, which sounds outdated now.

Meanwhile, there are some technical facts that still give us hope to wish for higher charging speeds on the next-gen Samsung foldables. Since 3C claims 25W charging, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 may introduce even faster charging support.

A tipster pointed out that the charger used for 3C certification is a 25W PD charger, which means it can only charge the tested devices at a maximum of 25W. That said, the maximum charging speed could be beyond 25W, probably 45W.

Launched back in February this year, the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S23 Plus are equipped with up to 45W fast charging. The company has upgraded the charging abilities of the S23 Plus, taking it to 45W from the conventional 25W.

Last year’s foldable phones (Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4) come with 25W charging. Therefore, expectations are high when it comes to faster charging, which could be possible as Samsung did the same with S23 Plus.

This year’s foldable phones (or at least the Fold 5) should have at least 45W fast charging. What do you think? Let us know via social media. Follow our socials → Google News, Telegram, Twitter, Facebook
