Samsung is bringing a huge cover screen with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone this year, and we just got its preview. As rumored in the past, the upcoming Flip’s cover display looks a lot like the My Files app’s icon, similar to the “folder” icon.

This year, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will bring a 3.4-inch large cover screen, which is the biggest upgrade in Flip’s history. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 come with a 1.9-inch cover display that can only be used to get simple tasks done without unfolding the device.

Well, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is not going to be the first to feature such huge cover display this year. Oppo’s Find N2 Flip brings a vertically rectangular display, while the same you can see on Vivo’s Flip phone in horizontal placement. Meanwhile, Motorola will even defeat Samsung with Razr Plus’s 3.5-inch outer display.

My Files app icon

The cover display design of Flip 5 looks a lot like the app icon of Samsung’s My Files application. The logo is almost squarish, just a thin strip removed from the right corner to the center point. If we swap it downwards, it will look exactly like the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s possible cover screen.

Apart from the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung will also unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone, which brings no significant change in the form factor. The Korean tech giant is making serious internal improvements, which will benefit users in everyday uses with thin and lighter body.

Meanwhile, tipster has recently revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 could introduce big changes in terms of form factor, read more here
