Samsung introduced One UI 5.1 with the Galaxy S23 series and the update is now available to a bunch of Galaxy devices in different regions. Meanwhile, the company has reportedly started preparation for the next One UI version i.e. One UI 5.1.1. It’s May 2023 and Samsung has started testing a new One UI 5.1.1 firmware on Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 smartphones.

In a recent development, the One UI test build detection app Checkfirm has spotted new One UI builds for the fourth generation of foldable smartphones. The smartphones already received the One UI 5.1 update, so apparently, it is testing the upcoming One version.

The One UI 5.1 can be identified by “C” alphabet as the fourth last digit of Samsung’s firmware and with the alphabet ‘”D” we can verify it as the next One UI version.

One UI 5.1.1 testing is going on in Korea for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 with version F936NKSU2DWDC and F721NKSU2DWDC respectively.

Back in February 2023, Samsung started the development of One UI 5.1.1 software on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 with a version ending with DWB9.

Samsung is likely to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 software out of the box. The next-gen foldable phones may debut in July this year, whereas the One UI 5.1.1 may be available for older Galaxy devices a month later of launch.
