May 2023 Wear OS 3.5 update starts rolling out

Google starts serving May 2023 Wear OS 3.5 update to all supported Pixel Watch devices. This new release brings nothing other than the latest security patches as part of the company’s regular maintenance release. Meanwhile, Samsung has not released the May 2023 patch to Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 yet.

The search engine giant said that May 2023 Wear OS 3.5 update rollout will continue over the next week in phases depending on carrier and device. Users having an eligible Wear OS smartwatch will get the new update over the air and will be notified via in-phone notification.

Pixel Watch’s latest update carries build version RWDA.230114.013, while the changelog reads “The May 2023 software update includes the latest security patches for Pixel Watch users” and updates are available for all supported Pixel Watch devices.

Similar to the Pixel Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 Pro series models run Wear OS 3.5 operating system. Google continues to develop and test new useful features for its wrist-friendly gadget, which benefits the entire Wear OS ecosystem such as Galaxy Watch.

Galaxy Watch to get new features

In a recent development, Samsung moderator confirmed that the Galaxy Watch 5 will receive new skin temperature sensor-based health tracking features with future firmware updates. The new smartwatch lineup has recently received a period tracking feature, based on skin temperature sensing.
