Samsung is rapidly pushing the May 2023 security patch to its Galaxy devices. The company has now started releasing the latest May 2023 update to the Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones.

The new software installs the latest Android patch which brings fixes for over 70 security flaws. It might also include bug fixes, device stability optimization, and functional enhancements.

According to the patch details, Samsung’s May 2023 patch fixes several issues related to App Lock, Telephony framework, Call Settings, and Bootloader.

At the moment, May 2023 security update is rolling out for the Galaxy S20 series in Brazil and we expect Samsung to release this security patch in other countries over the next few weeks.

The latest rollout for Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones bumps up the firmware version to G98xFXXSGHWD5. The installation package size of this update is 196.52 megabytes.

How to update?

Users can install the May 2023 security patch on their devices, just need to access System Settings and visit the Software update tab. Once reached, you should get another tab entitled Download and install, tap on it. Now, follow the on-screen instructions to finish the software update procedure.
