Comment: Samsung One UI 6 should introduce app drawer which can scroll

App Drawer which can scroll is a long-awaited feature in Samsung’s software skin. With each One UI iteration, Samsung disappointed Galaxy users by not introducing an app drawer option to enable vertical scroll. As the One UI 6 testing began internally, the demand seems to be raising again.

A Samsung fan commented on Reddit that the “One UI 6 should introduce app drawer which can scroll.” It’s not just a single user’s wish as there are a lot of people who prefer having an app drawer like Pixel phones, which lets them scroll vertically.

Since Samsung unfulfilled the demand for this second app drawer style, One UI 6 is the biggest opportunity to make Galaxy fans happy. At present, enabling the vertical scrolling app drawer is possible through a Good Lock plugin, but, its recommended app header is frustrating.

As the One UI 6 is going to be a major switch over the One UI 5.1, Samsung must look into the matter and consider bringing this new style to One UI Home. A feature-rich update to One UI Home would do the work, but it can become a spotlight of One UI 6 if Samsung brings it along.

Benefits of App Drawer which can scroll

One UI currently has an untouchable app drawer style, which allows users to find out their apps and access them across the paginated design. Stock Android, on the other side, brings a vertically scrollable app drawer, which is a bit more useful than the One UI’s variant.

With an app drawer that can scroll, it becomes easy to reach apps with a single hand. Apart from the apps that are placed in the first two rows, all other apps are easily accessible through the thumb. It sounds like a little or unnecessary change, but will surely enhance user experience.
