Android 14 Partial Screen Recording Feature Is Mind Blowing!

Screen recording feature becomes quite useful whenever you try to explain a procedure of something. It’s also useful whenever you want to save a copy of what’s happening on your screen. Well, Android 14 is making the screen recording feature way too cool with the new Partial screen recording feature.

As spotted by Mishaal Rahman, Android 14 adds a Partial screen recording feature. This allows you to capture certain parts of the screen, such as you can select a specific application to record. This way, if you get any heads-up notification, it won’t be captured in the screen recording result.

Aside from hiding notifications, it removes the System UI elements from the top and bottom. It makes the screen recording result incredibly sharable, even without concern about that pop-up notification or additional stuff presented on the display.

In the app selector dialog, you can swipe up to show the full app list as well as swipe left or right on the carousel to show more apps from your recents app list. If you leave the app you selected to record, Android will continue screen recording but the content will be black.

If you open the app again, the contents will once again be captured in the same recording. The recording doesn’t end unless you swipe down and end it manually. Talking about the One UI 6, it’s difficult to confirm whether Samsung will bring it or not.
