Samsung will release a major camera-centric firmware update to the Galaxy S23 series in June 2023, which optimized the performance of the camera of the third-party software calling system. This means users will be able to make video calls through VoIP with less quality destruction.

Tipster Ice Universe also added that the software update will bring further enhancements to the smartphones’ camera, making results in video calls clearer. Post-installation, Galaxy S23 users will get improved real-time video sharing with less quality distortion for better user experience.

The same source has recently shared a screenshot of alleged Galaxy S23 running June 2023 firmware. The camera UI showed 2x Portrait mode on the device, which reportedly captures at a 50-megapixel resolution, using the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200-megapixel lens.
