Samsung rolling out Jio True 5G support to Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in India
As we first reported in March 2023, Samsung begins distributing support for Jio True 5G to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in India. A number of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra users in India confirmed that the carrier’s app is now showing that the True 5G is now available on the device.
Initially, My Jio app didn’t list the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone in its True 5G supported chart in India. Since then, Indian consumers started to raise their voices on various platforms as the company has sold this flagship with a 5G connectivity promise.

Reliance-owned Jio requires a software update from the device manufacturer to offer 5G Stand Alone services. The Korean tech giant has taken a long time but fulfilled the demands of consumers, reiterating its commitment to delivering the best mobile experience.
To ensure 5G availability, update your Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone with the latest software version. Once done, pick 5G as your preferred network connection and reboot your Galaxy. If Jio’s 5G is available in your location, your phone will let you enjoy the fastest services.
It’s worth mentioning that the South Korean phone maker released the May 2023 firmware update (HWE4) on the last day of the month. That software included support for Jio True 5G network for your Galaxy Note 20 Ultra along with system stability enhancements.
