Samsung starts rolling out June 2023 One UI security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US. This development makes the Z Fold 4 the first smartphone to get the most up-to-date Android patches, even ahead of Google’s Pixel lineup.

The South Korean tech giant is yet to share the details of June 2023 security patches. Meanwhile, Google has recently published the newest Android security bulletin, bringing fixes to 23 privacy threats to the OS. These fixes would have been included in Samsung’s software package.

Samsung consumers having a Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US can identify the June 2023 One UI security update through software version F936U1UES2CWE1. At present, carrier-unlocked models are getting it over the air, while carrier-branded variants should not wait much longer.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 will get its successor by the next month, which doesn’t bring any notable change in terms of design. However, reports say that Samsung applied the new droplet hinge to lessen the crease visibility and make the phone thinner, lighter.

In addition, the Android 14-based One UI 6 Beta activity reportedly launches in mid-July. Starting with Galaxy S23 series, the Beta Program will go live for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in these countries. And the One UI 5 Watch Beta is another development arriving to the Samsung World, this month.
