1. Standby Mode Vs Always On Display
With iOS 17, Apple introduced Standby Mode, which turns a charging iPhone into a home hub. It’s like Galaxy users have been already using One UI as Always On Display. It gets activated when Apple users put iPhone on charge in landscape mode to show time, weather, a calendar, music controls, photos, and more.
2. Lock screen customization
iOS 16 brought an easily customizable lock screen, which Apple further refined with iOS 17. Now, the iPhone’s lock screen has more customization ways for fonts colors, and styles. One UI 5.1 copied iOS 16’s lock screen features, but it lacks the addition of a widget, which makes iOS 17 superior.
3. Quick Search
The native Quick Search feature of iOS 17 still lags behind Samsung’s One UI 5.1 software. While Apple’s OS just shows the top suggested apps in the quick search interface, the One UI 5.1 displays not only app suggestions but also Settings searches, downloads and screenshots folders, recent searches and more.
4. Share
AirDrop feature is great, but only works across Apple devices, which makes Samsung’s Quick Share way to incredible. With Quick Share, you can share files easily and conveniently – not only between Galaxy devices – but also with Android, iOS, and Windows using link to share.
5. Video call effects
For a long time, Galaxy users are enjoying the video call effects feature, which is also included in Apple’s 2023 iOS upgrade. While the iOS 17’s video call BGs are limited to native services, One UI 5.1 widely offers the video call backgrounds such as third-party apps.
6. Stickers
The image cutout feature arrived in One UI 5.1 as Image Clipper, purely cloned from Apple’s directory of features. Meanwhile, iOS 17 now lets users create and store custom stickers from images, just like the One UI 5.1 to share with others along with the ability to design AR stickers.
7. Messages Share Sheet
iOS 17 has made the iMessage app’s share menu more useful and dynamic, thanks to the arrival of pleasing transitions. On the flip side, in Samsung Messages, there are a lot of useful tools already available on Galaxy devices, courtesy of One UI 5.1.
8. Call Screening
One UI 5.1 activated the Bixby Text Call feature in English, which debuted with One UI 5.0 in just the Korean language. Now, iOS 17 is ready to allow iPhone users to do the same. This feature allows you to get a real-time transcript of the voice of caller, which One UI does better, thanks to the ability to respond too.
9. Caller UI – Posters Vs Background
Call Background is another feature, which Apple has taken from Samsung’s One UI software. With continuous upgrades, Samsung made the call backgrounds feature intuitive, which Apple smartly cloned for iPhones, giving some cosmetic changes so it feels better.
