Samsung Galaxy M53 grabs May 2023 security update [Expanding]
Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is getting the May 2023 security update in South Korea. It arrives with One UI build version M536SKSU3CWF1 on SK Telecom’s network.
The fresh update of Galaxy M53 5G installs the Android security patch to improve system security and stability. You can download and install the update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.

Galaxy M53 5G comes with a 6.7 inches display, featuring 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. For photography, the device brings a 108MP primary camera, equipped with PDAF technology along with an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro lens.
Under the hood, it’s equipped with 6nm process-based Mediatek Dimensity 900 processor. It came pre-installed with the Android 12-based One UI 4 operating system and received the Android 13-based One UI 5 update last year. It’s also eligible for the Android 14 OS upgrade, likely to release later this year.

Samsung May 2023 security update is now making its way to the Galaxy M53. Consumers in Brazil confirmed that the update is available in the market, and weighs less than 250 megabytes. Earlier, the update has been rolled out to the Galaxy Note 20 flagships.
According to the changelog, the May 2023 Samsung update brings system security improvements to the Galaxy M53. Moreover, it includes a handful of bug fixes and stability enhancements for a better user experience. It’s also possible that your device would perform well post-installation.
Going further with the release notes, the update carries enhancements for features. The software version – M536BXXS2CWD1 suggests that there are no new features or additional stuff included for the Galaxy M53 smartphone users.

So far, Samsung released the May 2023 patches for Galaxy A10e, Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra, Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra, Note 20, Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus, S8 Ultra, Galaxy A33, and A52 5G.
