Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 June 2023 update expanding with improved SOS function

Samsung released the June 2023 security update to carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone in the US. Now, the company is expanding this new security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in Korea. Other regions, including Asia and Europe, could also get the update soon.

The fresh software update for Galaxy Z Fold 4 bumps up the device firmware version to F936NKSU2CWE6. Users in Korea will have to install a 618 MB package to install the update on their smartphones.

June 2023 update includes the latest Android security patch that fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. In addition, it brings improvements to the functions of Safety and Emergency.

As per the changelog, the update enhances the Emergency SOS usability by making it always active and providing an option for turning on/off the Countdown function.

Furthermore, the company also updated the location confirmation accuracy function related to emergency rescue. It optimizes the stability of your smartphone to make it more secure.

Aside from this, the latest firmware also updates several apps including Galaxy Wearable, Global Goals, Samsung Health app, Smart Switch, Smart TV Plus, Samsung Pay to the latest version.

To check the update, visit your Galaxy device’s System Settings, once done, scroll down and tap the Software update tab, followed by the Download and install button. If you have received the update on your device then install it now to get error free experience.
