June 2023 Android Feature Drop Rolling Out: Cinematic wallpapers, Emoji Workshop and more

Google starts rolling out the June 2023 Android Feature Drop to Pixel smartphones. Except for the exclusive features, optimization, and improvements would be available for Samsung phones with future releases.

The June update brings macro focus video to Pixel 7 Pro, which was available for Photos so far. And, new Pixel phones are getting Cinematic wallpapers, dynamic Emoji Workshop, Safety Check & Emergency Sharing, and more.

Google’s Pixel Watch is also gaining the ability to track blood oxygen (SpO2). It arrived to a limited number of users a few days back, helping users identify changes in the level of oxygen in your blood while you’re sleeping.

Easier hands-free photos: Pixel 6 and newer phones will now let you take self-timed photos by simply raising your palm to trigger the timer after setting it for 3 or 10 seconds.

Cinematic and Emoji walls

Using the Tensor chipset’s AI capabilities, the Pixel 6 and newer smartphones transform your 2D wallpaper photos into dynamic 3D scenes for a truly magical look.

With new emoji wallpapers, you can also mix and match over 4,000 emoji with different patterns and colors to create live wallpapers that fit your personality and mood.
