Earlier, the South Korean tech giant had partnered with various solar companies such as Hanwha Q Cells, SMA Solar Technology, and Maxeon Solar Technologies.

SmartThings Energy is an energy management solution that monitors energy generation through residential solar panels and reduces energy consumption through AI-powered energy-saving modes.

Starting at the end of this month, SmartThings Energy will provide information on carbon intensity, which is the amount of carbon emissions generated per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity consumed.

Samsung will showcase SmartThings Energy and eco heating system (EHS) energy-saving solutions at “Intersolar Europe,” the largest energy exhibition in Europe, held in Munich, Germany, from June 14 to 16.
