Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max, and Xiaomi 13 Ultra feature an IP68 rating ensuring dust and water resistance. Recently, the YouTube channel TechDroider performed a crazy FREEZE TEST of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Impressively, all three smartphones managed to survive the tough freeze test, while the biggest difference that the Galaxy S23 Ultra revealed makes Samsung the king. Before we proceed, it’s recommended that don’t try such tests on your own as it could cause your phone costly damage.

Freeze Test

The YouTuber used Sparkling water to make this test more challenging for smartphones. Before freezing, he tested the speakers, cameras, and fingerprint scanners to make sure they are all working fine. Then he pours the sparkling water on the phones in the plastic box and froze for 6 hours.

Sparkling water is just like normal water, but it is infused with Carbon dioxide under high pressure. This makes it a bit more acidic than normal water.

The phone’s ability to stay alive throughout the test does not necessarily mean it passed the test. All other parts of the phone should work fine, just like they were before the test in which all three smartphones show cameras, speakers, and fingerprint sensor in a working state.

Since flagships from Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi remain unaffected in this extreme freeze test, one thing that made Galaxy S23 Ultra an unbeatable thing is intelligence. While using the phones, only the S23 Ultra recommended the user avoid wired charging due to water insertion in the port.
