WhatsApp testing auto unpin messages feature

WhatsApp is already testing the pinned messages feature on Android. New development in the story suggests that WhatsApp will allow users to choose how long messages stay pinned within chats and groups.

Prior to releasing pinned messages feature, WhatsApp is greatly refining its usability, with the ability of auto disappearing pinned messages as a welcome step. With a future update on the application, the functions that are currently under testing will be distributed to consumers.

WABetaInfo was able to find evidence of behind-the-scenes testing, which will let you choose how long you want to pin your messages in a chatroom. There are various options including 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days, choosing one will unpin the message after the deadline.
