Instagram gets Download Reels feature, how to use?
On June 21, Instagram officially announced that users will be able to download reels directly from the app. Instagram Head Adam Mosseri said that US-based users can now download Reels to their camera roll, with wider availability expected in the near future.
TikTok brought the trend of short videos, which gained huge popularity among consumers. The app already has the ability to let users download videos to share outside the platform. Well finally, the same is now possible on Instagram through a similar watermark strategy.
Users can download Reels by tapping on the share icon and then selecting the Download option.
It’s worth mentioning that Reels can be downloaded only from Public accounts, however, users having Public profiles can restrict Reels download. Notably, the platform has always allowed users to download their own Reels without a watermark from drafts.
