WhatsApp adds more Material Design elements, rolling out Rounded alerts
WhatsApp starts to roll out a new Beta update to Android users, which integrates Rounded alerts. With the latest Beta v2.23.14.12, WhatsApp replaced the Square-shaped alerts user interface with new Material Design-inspired Rounded alerts.
The screenshots attached below showcase the change coming to your WhatsApp account. Replacing the old Square-shaped UI, the alerts UI now introduces the Rounded section, visible on some accounts after installing the WhatsApp Beta v2.23.14.12, via WABetaInfo.
Importantly, the update brings new alerts user interface to all sections, which is not limited to the one shown in the screenshot. The new design gives a new and modern appearance, making the different parts of the app look consistent with Material Design 3.

The details of how this new universal transfer feature will work are not yet clear, as it is still under development. Through this, WhatsApp aims to provide a more user-friendly and universally applicable migration solution.
WhatsApp is introducing a new feature for community group chats with the latest beta (2.24.13.4) update. The recent community media feature of WhatsApp aims to make it easier for users to find and manage shared content.
The new feature will provide a dedicated section to view all media shared within their community groups, including photos, videos, and GIFs, as well as documents and links.
Moreover, the recent media feature of WhatsApp will list the shared items and display the size of each file, helping users manage their phone storage better. This is mainly useful for identifying and removing large files that may be consuming excessive space.
This update is still in the development phase and will be released in a future version of WhatsApp. The feature is expected to improve the community group chat experience by updating and organizing shared media.
WhatsApp is releasing a new beta update with version 2.24.13.3, which brings a new feature that allows users to pin their most important channels to the top of their channel list.
The new feature is currently available to a limited number of beta testers. It makes it easier for users to keep track of their top two preferred channels.
Previously, users had to scroll through all their channels to find the ones they visited usually. The new pinning feature of WhatsApp simplifies this by letting users select up to two channels to pin at the top of their list. This feature is saving time and improving overall app navigation.
To pin a channel, users simply choose the channel and use the pin option in the app’s top bar. Once pinned, the channel will remain at the top of the list for easy access.
Moreover, the update also includes the ability to perform actions on multiple channels at once, such as muting or marking them as read. The new feature is expected to be rolled out to more beta testers soon.
