Samsung Galaxy S22 series starts getting July 2023 security update

After Galaxy S23, Samsung begins releasing the July 2023 security update for its predecessor series – the Galaxy S22. The new installs the latest Android security patch to improve system security.

Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra users can identify the July 2023 security update through One UI build versions S901BXXS6CWF6, S906BXXS6CWF6, and S908BXXS6CWF6 respectively.

The company is dispatching the latest software update with system security improvements to keep your files and data safe on your phone. It also optimizes system stability to offer you uninterrupted and seamless functionality on your device.

At the moment, the South Korean tech giant is rolling out the latest update in Europe and will expand it to more countries. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours/days to reach all S22 models.

In case you haven’t received any update notification, you can go to the Software update section through your phone’s Settings. Now when you tap on the Download and install option, you will see the latest update available for your phone.
