Yesterday, Samsung announced the Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 Beta Program. The company made this unexpected announcement for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G and Galaxy Tab S8 series. Notably, Samsung didn’t launch the One UI 5.1.1 Beta for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G smartphone.

Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 4 with One UI 4.1.1 out of the box. Since the company’s latest clamshell foldable phone is also eligible for the 5.1.1 iteration, the company has not opened the Beta program for consumers.

The One UI 5.1.1 will go official later this month along with the next-generation foldable smartphones. Until then, the company will conduct Beta testing on the Z Fold 4 and Tab S8 series so the rollout could begin as early as August this year.

Another thing to note is that the Beta testing opportunity is only available for consumers in South Korea. Regardless, we hope the expansion in more markets like the United States and India. What do you think, should the Galaxy Z Flip 4 also get access to Beta of One UI 5.1.1? Let us know through social media.
