Smartphone makers are seriously working on their custom skins based on the new Android 14 operating system. OPPO, at the same time, appears to have some additional plans for its foldable smartphones as ColorOS 14 Fold (of ColorOS Fold 14) leaks early.

OPPO’s upcoming ColorOS Fold 14 operating system is well optimized for foldable smartphones, and some built-in apps are better adapted to horizontal screens, and the transition animation is smoother than the previous iteration. The leaker also posted a number of screenshots revealing the user interface.

Samsung’s One UI is equipped with some of the most useful multitasking features for foldable phones. However, the tipster revealed that ColorOS Fold has a new “sidebar recent files” feature, which can be regarded as a “file transfer station,” and supports drag-and-drop sharing.

Released back with HarmonyOS 3.0 last year, Huawei’s “file transfer station” gained a good reputation. Using it, users can drag text and pictures from multiple pages into the transfer station for temporary storage, and then drag them out as a whole, which greatly improves efficiency.

It has been reported that with the launch of OPPO’s folding screen, it is expected that more new features for large-screen devices will be added this year. With ColorOS 13, the company launched full life cycle control, quantum animation engine 4.0, smart conference assistant, OPPO Carlink and other features.
