Have you ever noticed an annoying vignetting effect on your nighttime photos? It’s a widespread problem, which Samsung has not optimized yet on its Galaxy flagships. Back in March, the company prepared the HDR patch for the Galaxy S22 series but didn’t roll out.

Samsung’s camera in-charge has recently updated the information while asked by a consumer in the community. The moderator said that HDR Patch will be included in the next software update of the Galaxy S22 series. However, the exact release date of this SW is yet to be disclosed.

Per the info available in the community, the S22 users demanded lowlight/nighttime photography HDR optimization for which, the devs prepared the patch. The July update distribution is already underway in certain markets, while the patch may first appear in Korean firmware.
