As foldable phones are gradually becoming popular, Samsung is exploring ways to make them more advanced. In a recent development, it has been found that Samsung aims to equip future foldable phones with health sensors, probably on display.

According to pigtou findings, Samsung registered a new patent, which suggests the installation of two health sensors on a flip-style foldable smartphone. The evidence shows sensors will use fingerprints to estimate various health parameters based on the measurements taken.

Apart from this, the patented Samsung smartphone combines a special type of image sensor called a CMOS and a Hall sensor. The former can emit light onto the user’s finger, while the latter will measure the angle at which the phone is folded.

It could estimate blood pressure, vascular age, arterial stiffness, and more.
