Samsung Security Technology Forum 2023 scheduled for August 22

Today, Samsung announced it will hold the seventh Security Technology Forum 2023 at its Seoul R&D Campus on August 22. The first in-person Samsung Security Technology Forum in four years will be held under the theme “Hack for Security: How hacking drives security innovation.”

At this year’s event, CTO of Samsung Electronics’ DX Division and President Jeon Jeon, Samsung Research’s R&D center will give a welcome speech followed by a keynote speech by Hwang Yong-ho, Senior Vice President of the Security & Privacy Team, who is in charge of security technology at Samsung Research.

Later, Prof Kang G. Shin of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, USA, Prof Insu Yoon of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at KAIST, Prof Joon Han of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Yonsei University will give invited lectures.

Besides, this year’s technical sessions will be more diverse, introducing various contents such as research contents of leading security society paper authors, cooperation activities between Samsung Research and divisions to protect customers’ products and data, and activities for early detection of vulnerabilities.
