In the second quarter of 2023, the global smartphone sell-through volume decreased by 8 percent year-on-year and 5 percent month-on-month, which was synchronized for eight consecutive quarters, according to Counterpoint Research.

Analysts at Counterpoint Research disclosed that Samsung dominated the global market with a 22 percent market share thanks to the strong performance of the Galaxy A series. Apple ranked second while setting its highest-ever second-quarter market share, with a market share of 17 percent.

Although Xiaomi has experienced a decline in the Chinese and Indian markets, it still ranks third through expansion in other markets, with a market share of 12 percent. Chinese brands, OPPO and vivo continued to maintain their fourth and fifth positions.
