Apple has not yet introduced the iPhone 15 lineup but rumors about the next year’s iPhone lineup are already flying everywhere. Rumor claims that Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max will be equipped with a “Super Telephoto” periscope zoom camera with a focal length of over 300mm.

Notably, the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 77mm zoom camera, which makes the iPhone 16 Pro Max rumor an ultimate upgrade. Super telephoto lenses are often used for sports and wildlife photography, and can also be used for portraiture if the photographer is far enough away from the subject.

There are rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro Max released this year will use a periscope lens on the iPhone for the first time, and the iPhone 16 Pro will also be equipped with a periscope lens, but not the same “Super Telephoto” as the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

It is also reported that the size of the main camera of the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be 12% larger than that of the iPhone 14 Pro Max (1/1.28 inches), and the parameters such as the amount of light will perform better. The iPhone 16 Pro Max could be launched in September/October 2024.
