Samsung is testing One UI 5 Watch and Wear OS 4 for its Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series through a beta program in the US and Korea. Samsung has now released the One UI 5 Watch Beta 4 update for Wear OS-based Galaxy watches.

One UI Watch Beta 4 update can be identified through firmware ending with ZWG7 and users will have to install a software package of around 300 MB.

The latest update improves initial speed and battery consumption to provide a better experience. In addition, it fixes issues such as brightness control error with the touch bezel and a watchface color error after the update.

Furthermore, this update installs July 2023 security patch to enhance system security and stability. The beta update can be downloaded through the Galaxy Wearable app on the phone connected to the smartwatch. To join the beta program, users need to sign up on the Samsung Members app.

One UI 5 Watch and Wear OS 4 are major new updates for Samsung’s Wear OS smartwatches. Both software will be available for Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 owners in most countries after the Galaxy Watch 6 series is unveiled on July 26. The Galaxy Watch 6 series will come with One UI 5 Watch and Wear OS 4 out of the box.
