Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 price could be higher than their predecessors. The company is expected to unveil its next-generation foldable phones on July 26 in South Korea. And recently, it has canceled the outdoor Unpacked due to expected heavy rains.

According to PulseNews, Samsung has been still in negotiations with mobile carriers about the final price of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5. However, the sources expect the prices to be higher than the previous ones, citing upward pressures on prices.

The Flip 5 features a larger display twice the size of the Flip 4’s, with a slightly higher exchange rate compared to a year ago. A France-based online magazine, Dealabs expected that the ex-factory prices of The Z Flip 5 would be €1,199 ($1,334) for 256GB and €1,339 ($1,490) for 512GB.

The prices are 20 percent higher than the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Considering the tendency of Europe to set smartphone prices higher compared to other markets, the industry anticipates that the local ex-factory price in South Korea will likely increase by approx 100,000 won ($78.18).
