Google Messages introduces new feature to pin five conversations

Google Messages has introduced a new feature that allows users to pin up to five conversations to the top of their Messages list. This feature is available in the latest beta version of the app, version 20230719_05_RC00.

When this feature was first introduced, users could only pin up to three conversations. However, with the latest update, users can now pin up to five conversations.

The pinned conversations can be either group chats or personal chats, and the pins are synced with Messages for web. This means that if you pin a conversation on your phone, it will also be pinned when you access Messages on your computer.

To use this feature, users can long-press on a chat and a bubble will appear, informing them that they can now pin up to five conversations. Once a conversation is pinned, it will move to the top of the Messages list and an icon will appear on the right side of the chat.
