Google Find My Device app is getting a major upgrade with the introduction of the Find My Device Network. This feature will allow users to locate their lost or stolen devices even when they are offline, by using the help of other nearby Android devices.

The new feature ” Find My Device Network” settings page will offer users four options to choose from, depending on their preferences and privacy concerns.

These four options of Google Find My Device Network feature are:

  • OFF: This option will disable the Find My Device Network and the device’s last location data when it was online.
  • Without network: This option will keep the device’s last location data when it was online, but will not use the Find My Device Network.
  • With network in high-traffic areas only
  • With network in all areas – even in low-traffcie areas

These new changes are currently hidden and will become available to users along with the launch of the Find My Device Network. Google has not announced a specific date for the rollout, but it is expected to happen soon.
