Apple to increase iPhone 15 prices in the US and Global markets, Bloomberg reports

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman confirmed that Apple fans should be ready to witness increased prices for the iPhone 15 series. In the past, it was rumored that the company is planning to increase the prices of its next smartphone lineup for the US and Global markets.

Mark Gurman notes that Apple consumers should expect “modest” price increases in the US and Global markets. In particular, the company may raise prices of high-end models including the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is due to the rumored titanium body and upgraded camera system.

Here’s how Mark Gurman put it in today’s newsletter:

I would look out for at least minor price increases across all four models outside of the US. I also wouldn’t rule out a price increase in the US — at least for some of the pro models — given the move to titanium and the costlier camera system on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. For context: Apple charges $100 more for titanium watches than their stainless-steel counterparts

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the iPhone maker aims to ship approx 85 million units of the iPhone 15 in 2023. This is about as many as it sold off the iPhone 14 in the same period last year. However, Apple expects overall revenue to increase because of higher unit prices.
