Samsung confirms ‘image processing error’ causing blurred camera, fix coming

It looks like, Samsung Galaxy phones’ blurred camera problem will be fixed with the August 2023 firmware update. Recently, the company’s moderator acknowledged the error which causes blurred camera images on Samsung Galaxy devices running One UI 5.1 or One UI 5.1.1.

According to the info, the Samsung moderator confirmed that One UI firmware has an image processing error that leads to blurred camera performance. In most cases, it happens while capturing a screen, which looks abnormal after pictured such as blurred, rainbow, or overlapping.

The moderator reiterated that software is in the pipeline, which will address the blurred camera issues.

“Due to an image processing error when capturing the screen while using a Galaxy mobile phone with One UI 5.1/5.1.1 applied. We have confirmed that the captured image looks abnormal (blur, rainbow, overlapping, etc.).

We plan to distribute software that improves the phenomenon.”
