Android Auto connection issues troubling Pixel devices

Published

Some Google Pixel users are recently having trouble connecting to Android Auto. The problem seems to affect mainly Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 devices, and it started about a week ago.

According to user reports on Reddit and Google’s support forums, Android Auto either does not connect at all or drops the connection randomly, especially when using wireless mode. The issue is frustrating for Pixel users who rely on Android Auto for navigation, music, calls, and more.

The cause of the issue is unclear, but it may be related to a server-side change. Some users have fixed the problem by rebooting their phone or car system, while others have not found a solution. The issue does not seem to depend on any specific Android Auto update. We hope that Google will fix it soon and restore apps’ functionality for Pixel users.
