Samsung Galaxy S20 FE becomes first phone to receive August 2023 security update

Samsung has finally started releasing the August 2023 security update and Galaxy S20 FE has become the first phone to get it. The latest update brings improved privacy and security features.

August 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G arrives with firmware version G780GXXS6EWG9 and it is currently rolling out in Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Paraguay, and Trinidad & Tobago.

The company will soon expand this update to more Galaxy S20 FE models. Other Galaxy smartphones and tablets are also expected to receive the August 2023 security update in the following days or weeks.

However, it’s important to note that this update focuses mainly on security fixes and does not introduce any new features or changes. Samsung has yet to disclose the details of security flaws of the latest patch.

Users of Samsung Galaxy S20 FE can install the update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.
